I'm proud of JT/Elder Eborn. He showed appropriate affection to everyone as they greated him. Some of that was easy. Some of it wasn't, but sfter two years practicing shaking hands, it was expected. At least for now.
Love you JT and all the rest. Can't wait to see you ourselves.
Hi, glad i found this blog. I was in this mission from 1998-2000 with Presidents Galbraith and Dudley. I served in Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, and Ulan Ude, though I often visited Omsk, Tomsk, and Irkutsk (before it was opened).
Welcome home! I had some email exchanges with Elder Conrad Carr after he received his call, which is how I found this. Interested to hear how he is doing.
I also had a lengthy email exchange with Darrel Rolfe earlier this year. I sent him my journal entries from Oct 1999 when we traveled to Irkutsk and Ulan-Ude to meet with the government officials of those cities to open them to missionary work. I believe he was going to dedicate a new building in Ulan-Ude. We still have the original program from the first sacrament meeting ever in that town.
Welcome home Elder Eborn! I am Sister Gneiting's mom. I think you may have met her while serving on your mission. I have enjoyed following this blog of your wonderful experiences that you have had on your mission. Well done! After Mindy (Sister Gneiting) got home I printed out the blog that I kept for her so that she can have it in book form. I just thought that I would let you and your mom know where you can do that at in case you want to do the same. It is: http://blog2print.sharedbook.com/blogworld/printmyblog/index.html. I hope that you are adjusting well and good luck on all of your future plans. Carol Gneiting
